Golfing Legend Greg Norman made it abundantly clear that he doesn't support the decision to add Tiger Woods to the Presidents Cup. He also said that he doesn't think Woods will win another major and that his game is very weak compared to what it once was. Norman is going to be the captain of the international team, which will face the Americas on November 17.
"I can understand the name of a Tiger Woods and his
history of what he's done on the golf course," Norman said. "But I
pick the guys who I think are ready to get in there and play and have performed
to the highest levels leading up to it."
Fred Couples made the
decision to add Tiger to the team, stating that he was the "best player
forever." But Woods hasn't won a
tournament for two years and has dropped out of the top 50 for the first time
in his career as a professional golfer.
Couples got defensive when asked about his selection of Tiger.
"I have no problem with Greg. He can say whatever he
wants, but I'm not really into that. I play golf with my clubs," Couples
said. "Robert Allenby is his pick, and Aaron Baddeley, and they're
Australians and I think they're great picks. But I think I can sit here and say
Robert Allenby hasn't won a tournament in 10 years."

Well we all know what this is about , i am thinking because, the way his divorce came about which happen not to be any of his buisness , i also know we should hold the ones we look up to accountable for thier actions but i don't see were he has the right to judge Tiger Woods. not to mention he would rather see some one else other than a black mans face.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, you hit the nail right on the head. In spite of Tiger's performance in the last two years and the personal issue with him (which I definitely do not condone) Tiger has done for golf what no other Golfer has and probably never will. You can't take that away from him no matter what.
ReplyDeleteMy hats off to Fred Couples, he sure called Greg Norman out. Robert Allenby who? What has he done for Golf? Has he done anything at all in the last 10 years? Norman has shown his true colors! By the way, come on back Tiger! A come back would teach em a lesson on making predictions, there are too many little gods out there.
