Sacramento Police Deny Brutality After Suspect Dies in Custody

Another man dies in custody while in handcuffs in the back of a police car. The police department wants us to believe it had nothing to do with their treatment of the suspect. So what was it, an allergic reaction to the handcuffs?

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — A suspect in a shooting that left a northern California officer critically wounded later died in the custody of Sacramento police, following a foot chase, authorities say.
Tyrone Smith, 32, was unresponsive in the back of a patrol car after being caught late Saturday night some seven hours after the shooting of the Twin Rivers police officer, Sacramento police said in a statement Sunday night.

Paramedics were called who took Smith to a hospital, where he was declared dead, the statement said.

  1. LOOK at how many [white] police officers have AMBUSHED by cowardly criminal-minded blacks. It's SICK. White people MUST end this forced integration system. Black males are OUT OF CONTROL.

  2. I would like to know why so litte attention has been paid to the police officer who was shot numerous times. Is his life worth nothinhg? The "gentleman" who was taken into custody was not exactly an exemplory citizen. You never hear that he committed a crime, it's all about the criminal and how wonderful he is - anyone thought about the victim? Doesn't someone care that and officer was shot trying to do his job and get this "bad guy off the Streets before he comitted another crime. What difference does it make which Police entity stopped him. He needed to be off the streets period. The reporting has been so one sided since this whole story started - How about at least equal time
