OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — The tearful foster father of a missing five-year-old boy with cerebral palsy said Thursday he believes the child was kidnapped and pleaded for his safe return.
Meanwhile, authorities intensified their round-the-clock search for Hasanni Campbell, who disappeared Monday in an upscale Oakland neighborhood.
His foster father, Louis Ross, the last known person to see Hasanni, said the boy disappeared after he briefly left him outside his car in the rear parking lot of a shoe store where Ross' fiancee, Jennifer Campbell, works.
Ross said he went to the store's front entrance to ask Campbell to open the back door, but when he returned to the parking lot, Hasanni was gone.
"We refuse to give up hope. We know he wouldn't walk away like that," Ross told The Associated Press Thursday. "Whoever has him, let him go. Please drop him off somewhere — the police, a hospital, a school. Somewhere. Please."
oh my god im crying while i write this....please let the boy go...he's a baby
ReplyDeletepleas give back the baby!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is sad, how in spite of the hiding conditions of his parents that this story has been drop in the media, and push to the back of concern. How sad that America isn't any better and the media isn't color blind. Yes, i think Dr. Boyce Watkins has this one right. Eyes are the wrong color and said to say i don't hold to racial injustic, but, Dr Boyce Watkins, yes, "his eyes may not be blue enougt for Nancy."

MAY HE BE OK I PRAY TO GOD NO MORE CHILDEREN HAVE TO GO THOUGH THIS GOD WILL WACH OVER YOOU
ReplyDeleteI pray to GOD, that this little brother is ok.Our children are like precious jewels to us, and should be protected as such.My prayers are with the family. How often have we heard a story like this, where once the child was with the parent, or guardian, and then all of a sudden the adult does something neglectful, which leads to something horrible happeening to the child, the precious jewel? I pray to GOD this isn't the case, but I'm left to wonder.
ReplyDeleteI am going to reserve my judgement until the police check the residence of the foster father and rule out foul play.
ReplyDeleteWhy would a "responsible adult" leave a child unattended in a car?
How long was he away from the car?
Who would have reason to apprehend the child?
And if the child is missing what is the window of time from the time the child went missing to the time it was reported?
why doesnt the media handle this with an urgency?
Why isn't the african american community in Oakland speaking out about this?
THE SQEAKY WILL GETS THE OIL!!!
omg,who ever have the baby please give him back like the story said you can drop the child anywhere,if you give the child back face to face there might be a reward it might not be right but i know they would do anything to get the baby back.
ReplyDeletemay god bless the family with strength and patients thru these trying days and bring Hasanni back home safe nd untouched.
ReplyDeletethis is an outrage! I HOPE THIS BABY IS FOUND &FOUND SAFE. THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM ALWAYS SEEMS TO FAIL CHILDREN. it seems anyone can become a foster parent. the majority of children in the foster care system are physically, mentally, verbally, and sexually abused, either by the foster care providers, their families & acquaintances,or older foster children.being a foster parent is not about a check but loving children.
